Message | Council. This bill will give new freedoms to partners of Dorvik, eliminating restrictive bureaucracy that limits civil rights. Making marriage the business of religions alone will push the burden onto private churches, limiting the power the government has over our churches, and allowing for a portion of the national budget to be spent on more worthy causes. Message | We cannot support this bill, it removes vital government protections from vulnerable individuals. This bill will do the exact opposite of what it intends to do. Alena Rike Bachmann, Interim Leader of Unsere |

Message | This is a deranged bill from a deranged, anarchistic party. Not only does this practically forbid people from having a civil marriage, but it actually strips away the marital rights of immigrants. This proposal would prevent spouses from being classed as close family to their other half, meaning they would lack any rights in terms of inheriting and/or managing property and money from a deceased spouse. This bill could destroy the fabric of one of our greatest institutions. It takes away so many legal protections for couples and leaves to unregulated marriages that could be arranged or forced. This proposal is one of sickest pieces of dog-muck to ever come to this chamber, and the fact anyone could vote for this nonsense genuinely frightens me. Edmond Braun Minister of Justice Co-Leader of the Bright Alliance |
