Bill: Adopting Children

Details

Submitted by[?]: Luthori People's Party (LPP)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 4332

Description[?]:

The check-up to decide wether a couple can adopt a child is to weak according to the Luthori People's Party. That's why we want to make it more difficult to adopt a child. This is to protect the children who are adopted and make sure they get the upbringing they deserve.

MessageMr Speaker,

I don't think reducing the amount of parents able to adopt is protecting children. A routine check-up is more than reasonable, an intensive program is not required for biological parents, and it is wholly unnecessary here.

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action.
