Voting deadline: April 4334

Description[?]:

It is known that many native reservations own and manage casinos, and it is the largest single way that native communities earn their living wage.

Today it has become a major source of income, not only for the native people but also for the nation as a whole.

Last year the native casinos earned, nationwide 28 billion Likath, and due to the nature of the casinos 80% of these profits made their way back into the economy, as where in traditional casinos and gambling establishments less than 20% of profits return to circulation.

It is therefore in the interest of the Telvayn Clan, and the confederacy of Likatonian native tribes to encourage this booming industry to incentivise more tribes to open and run these casinos on native lands.

MessageChief Walking Bear,

As you pointed out, Native Casinos are performing pretty well. There is no need for restricting the free market. Nowadays, Native Likatonians are as free as any other Likatonian citizen to set up a casino. We have always pushed for the rights of all minorities, Chief Walking Bear, but we have never exceeded the line of discrimination. Everyone deserves the same rights and the law should be equal for all.

Acting Secretary of Finance

MessageMr. Secretary,

As you pointed out, on paper we natives have the same inalienable rights.
But as such an educated man as you surley are you would know that what is true on paper is rarley the truth in the real world.

Even now, as we speak many casinos and gambling halls not afilliated with the LNC lobby incessantly to have the native casinos closed.
Success breeds jealousy Mr. Secretary, and the large companies that own these establishments envy the independence of the native casinos.

But this independence has been hard won, after centuries of oppression and displacement by first the colonial government and later the "free" government of Likatonia.

I simply ask that our largest source of income be protected, both from predatory competition, corporate espionage and potential future government tyranny.
