MessageMr. Speaker,

There is a stark difference between child labour and minor having a paper round. Its disrespectful to the children of Trigunia, Deltaria and Hulstria-Gao-Soto to compare the two. It is even worse proposing to legalise child exploitation.

MessageMr Speaker,

My dear, my dear, it seems you have misunderstood what this proposal is, and blown it entirely out of proportion. Child labour does not merely mean physical labour in say, a workhouse, we are not going back to the dark ages! Child labour includes any job that a minor may undertake, with a paper round being a prime example; under current law a child is not allowed to get any form of job whatsoever. If your party is so passionate about social mobility, why do you wish to hinder it by banning our youth from getting an early start and getting some money into their pockets? The additional regulations to adult labourers mean children would not be allowed to partake in overly strenuous jobs that could endanger them, such as the child exploitation you have spoken about. Ladies and gentlemen of the legislature, please do reconsider, please do think with logic, and please allow our people to decide what to do in their lives as opposed to continued statist bureaucracy.

MessageOOC: The definition that I've always followed in this regard is child exploitation in terms of labour rather than meaning menial part-time jobs. I know others have too. That explains my party's comments.

MessageMr Speaker,

The bill simply lacks parameters to ensure protection high would garner our support.
