Bill: Socialist Manifesto To Counter Government Inactivity - 4334
Details
Submitted by[?]: Socialisma Respublika Partio
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 4335
Description[?]:
Members of the National Assembly, The People's Coalition has proven to be the most ineffectual government in the modern history of Zardugal. Hardly a policy in sight. No initiatives, no vision... no good! Where is our esteemed Chief Minister, Marso Petkido? No one has heard a word from him in three years! The people of this nation have been cheated. We have waited with baited breadth to see what new laws or new direction Petkido has to offer and nothing has been forthcoming. Is it hardly surprising, however, when the foundation of government is built on two parties so politically diametrically opposed they can agree on nothing! Yet, shamefully, their leaders created this unhealthy alliance purely to grab power, pocket the money and prestige that comes with it - and then sit on their hands doing nothing. Their attitude towards government has been appalling. To be frank it has been criminal in its negligence and it is a matter I intend to take up with the constitutional court. Therefore, I, as the leader of the main opposition party, will have to do their job for them. I will suggest a series of proposals that will move this country closer to what it should be - a socially-minded republic based on progressive policy and an expansive welfare system, a vibrant dual economy and a much better approach to the running of government. I unveil our manifesto for a new Socialist Republic of Zardugal - beginning with a name change and a return to the old republican flag of Zardugal, which has been 'usurped' by the Augustan-style imperial flag in recent years. Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with. |
