Bill: The New Industrial Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Democratic Socialist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2196
Description[?]:
Article 1 will ensure that workers are free to strike without fear of losing their jobs. What is the point of allowing industrial action when employers can just fire workers who do? This change to the law will ensure workers rights are adequately protected, whilst protecting industry from unfounded strikes. Article 2 serves to ensure that local governments are able to tailor the gambling industry to their own particular economies. Article 3 will ensure that certain essential services and industries (such as electricity generation) will remain in government control. |

Message | We recommend the ALP review a few basic rules of spelling and punctuation; such as capitalization. We also would like to say that we do not feel the first article is harsh enough. We feel any employer should be able to fire any worker it employs. We abstain until this is corrected. |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
