Message | Mr. Marshall, We have some significant objections to this proposal. Our main objection is that the proposed bill if passed would grant entities other than public institutions like the Police, Border Guard, or the National Defense Forces the right to use constraint and force, which should remain as the monopoly of the State. Possible perturbations resulting from the presence of paramilitary groups would greatly endanger the integrity of the Republic and more importantly would disrupt the social life of the republic by the polarization of certain social groups. In addition, the presence of paramilitary groups other than those accredited by the National Defense Forces would give certain social groups to use the pressure on other social groups in order for them to subordinate. We strongly oppose this. Our another objection is more general and we would like to point out to other parties and to you Mr. Marshall that this bill unnecessarily and groundlessly limits civil liberties which Valruzian Citizens fought so hard for. There is no justification for banning all naturally occurring drugs, except cannabis, why would we prevent anyone from using plants like Salvia, Datura or Breadseed Poppy, they all occur in nature and are considered as mild psychoactive stimulants. Of course, there is no consent for using drugs like cocaine, heroin or synthetic drugs like amfetamine of methamphetamine but our laws ban those drugs and most importantly they do not occur in nature. Another one is that Patriots' Time is willing to disenfranchise prisoners for the time spent in prison, that is pure violation of Article 2 of our constitution. Why is Patriots' Time so willing on making Valruzia a military-police state? We are a stable democracy with growing economy and proposals like this only undermine our growing position on the international scene. That's why we are proud to announce that we will oppose this irrational set of proposals and hope that other parties will do the same. Thank You Mr. Marshall, Hanna Lisowska, President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Valruzia. |
