Bill: Military Police Act 3388

Details

Submitted by[?]: Pars Militum Petulantia

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4339

Description[?]:

With tensions rising throughout Terra, we believe it is necessary to strengthen and build up our military. Conflicts are rising as close as Malivia, and we believe these difficult times call for serious measure to ensure the security of Selucia and the Selucian people. We will be pushing for increasing military spending and working towards joint exercises with allies in the Majatran region. We'll be moving forwards with these plans in the senate in the coming months, and hope the senate will provide their support. We'll begin by implementing a de-facto military police to ensure the safety of our citizens and allow for rapid-reaction in the case of a threat within our borders.

Maximus Antonius Marinus Cato
Minister of Defence

MessageThis just seem like an absurd movement of the current Government to control the citizens. Military is already in charge of the Selucian borders and they are trained for a rapid-reaction, so there is no sense in giving them those powers.

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections.
