Message | We can agree. |

Message | 1) Acceptable. 2) We don't agree, as we have said before, local governments often waive the environment in favor of industry and others. They also tend not to see the big picture, something which the national government is far more capable of. 3) Malivia has rich forests in the center of the country, with a large biological diversity. There is no pressing need for more room, so why change this? 4) Acceptable. |

Message | Makes sense removing articles 2 & 3. |

Message | By encouraging people to stay in school until they are 21 we are creating a more educated work force. Thus we can become leaders of technology and innovation throughout Terra. |

Message | Thats an all out lie. If you stay in grade school from lets say 6 or so to 21 and then you attend college, that means the youngest people with college degrees will be lucky to be 25 to 27. And then they retire 30 years later. This means less people are working at any given time thus hurting our economy. |

Message | why are they in grade school until 21? |

Message | While we can see why the Protectorate Party has this reasoning, not everyone is capable of higher education. I think at 18, adolescents won't quit school just because they don't like it, but because they believe they won't accomplish any more by having more education. Those that feel they can take on a higher level, will, because more education means more chance of a better job. |

Message | There are many forms of learning which could be addressed at this later stage, we would include military or other national service and apprenticeships under the heading of education. We mearly do not wish to see 18 yr olds abandoned by the system to find thier own way. We would rather see the next three yrs as a transition period where they leave home yet are still in a controlled environment such as college or the military or similar programs, which continues their education and aids them to become independent and productive members of the nation. |

Message | Protectorate I don't know if you realize but this proposal is talking about grade school. College is a whole different thing! Because its optional for people. Its not required. |

Message | So for example, internships at companies would also fall under the education process? |
Date | 22:52:51, March 03, 2006 CET | From | Malivia Democratic Party | To | Debating the Double E |
Message | Basically when they say educated, that refers to kindegarten to high school. After that everything is optional. You could go to college, not work at all, go get a job, or whatever. But you should be able to complete highschool by 18. |

Message | OOC: Yes, compulsory education does equal grade school. IE: I am in 5th grade, 12th grade, etc. However, in the US you can drop out of school after 16. IC: We don't agree with the Protectorates concerning what this means as we doubt it was ever specified. We also believe that this can extend to education beyond grade school as it is not specified in the proposal either. Regardless, education shouldn't be compulsory until 21. In response to the SDL, by your reasoning, we should even go lower than 18 to 16 which we would also support. |
