Bill: Presidential Foreign Policy Authorization Act (09-4340-002)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Belaya Triguniya

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 4341

Description[?]:

OOC: I'd appreciate if everyone would support this, as maintaining reasonable foreign policy despite internal political disagreements is important for realism in Particracy - no one will take us seriously if every three years we do an about-face on foreign policy when a new President is elected.

IC:

The President of the Trigunian Federation, as executive of the Federation, presents to following broad outline of Trigunian foreign policy under his administration, and seeks acquiescence from the State Duma:

SPECIAL POLICIES:
---
1) A policy of "Trigunian Special Interest" (Rod: Тригунская Особый Интерес Trigunskaya Osobyy Interes) shall exist, outlining Trigunia's interest in the continent of Keris and the nations of Telamon, Lodamun, Likatonia, Kalistan, Valruzia, and Baltusia which will affirm Trigunia's commitment to stability in these nations.
2) A policy of "Westward Vigilance" (Rod: Насторожная Бдительность Nastorozhnaya Bditel'nost') shall exist toward the nation Hutori, which has the capacity and the motive to threaten Trigunian interests and therefore must be handled carefully.
3) A policy of "Eastward Vigilance" (Rod: Восточная Бдительность Vostochnaya Bditel'nost') shall exist toward the nation of Kazulia, which has the capacity and the motive to threaten Trigunian interests and therefore must be handled carefully.

GENERAL FOREIGN AFFAIRS
---
4) Trigunia shall remain an active participant and leader in the KEDA (http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=3796) and KU (http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=3111), as they are the foundations of our security and prosperity as a nation,
5) Trigunia shall seek close ties with Vanuku, Istalia, Indrala, and Deltaria, which have either historical ties with our state or which represent strong economic and military partners for our nation.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically

Random quote: Henceforth, the current system of first and second class stamps, where the rich can pay to have their mail delivered faster than the poor, shall be BANNED. There shall be only one class of mail delivery, and ALL mail shall travel at the SAME speed for EVERYBODY. There can be no class discrimination in the People's Post Office! There must be the SAME class of mail service FOR ALL! ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party
