Voting deadline: January 4343
Description[?]:
This act is designed to permit the keeping of rare, exotic, or otherwise awesome animals throughout Beiteynu. There should be no reason that a person cannot have a pet tiger if they want to have one, so long as their ownership meets certain basic standards (the animal should not be untrained, the owner should be capable of controlling the animal if they want to take it in public, etc.) |

Message | Absolutely not, this will be very detrimental to wildlife and encourage the capture of endangered and exotic species. |

Message | We appreciate your concern for nature. But when the concern over exotic (aka foreign) animals eclipses the freedoms of Beiteynu's people, your concern seems to go against the national interest. These exotic animals are the animals of Beiteynu, and therefore they are not our responsibility. If some foreign power wants to sell their animals, and if out people want to buy them, then it's not our job to stop them. We can, however, regulate the trade in a way that will benefit the people of Beiteynu. Regarding the capture of wildlife: it's not easy to catch a wild animal, and it's even harder to domesticate it. If the people want to spend the time and effort to tame a wild animal and keep it as a pet, then they have that right. |
