Bill: Anti-Discrimination Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kadima Beiteynu

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4345

Description[?]:

It is currently left up to local governments as to whether or not diversity quotas are legal. The central government needs to take a decisive stance against hiring discrimination on the basis of race, gender, etc. There is simply no such thing as "positive discrimination." Two wrongs can never make a right, and discrimination is never the path to equality. The forced hiring of "marginalized groups" can only lead to resentment and unfairness. I call on the central government to ensure a level playing field for all, by changing our national policy on Positive Discrimination from "Hiring policies are regulated by local governments" to "No form of positive discrimination is permitted."

Random fact: Particracy is set in the fictional world of Terra, which mirrors the real world of today and yet is not quite like it.

Random quote: "If man asks for many laws, it is only because he is sure that his neighbor needs them; privately he is an unphilosophical anarchist, and thinks laws in his own case superfluous." - Will Durant
