Bill: Great Game

Details

Submitted by[?]: Bachelor Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2195

Description[?]:

While we have a high appreciation for the fine art of fencing, we consider tennis to be a highly cultured and gentlemanly game, and more accessible to the public. It emphasises personal achievement and improvement, and promotes physical fitness. Besides, it's a very cool game, fun to watch and fun to play.

MessageExcuse my ignorance. It appeared to me earlier that there were more yes votes. I was mistaken, obviously.

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass.

Random quote: "Socialism failed because it couldn't tell the economic truth; capitalism may fail because it couldn't tell the ecological truth." Lester Brown, Fortune Brainstorm Conference, 2006
