MessageAdriano Manfrin, ULD Deputy Chairperson

From one side, this will make the democracy more active, but then again, if we have a president that's generally liked and supported, we believe that the president should have a chance of continuing their actions.
We will abstain.
Obviously, the law can't work backwards, and as such President Lepera still would have a chance to run for office, twice.

MessageOOC: Lionking, this is a Constitutional RP Law. You should specify into the descripion that in order to be approved it needs that 2/3 of Parliament votes in favor.

We disagree, a country needs a strong leader. If he or she is any good, then they should stay.

MessageValentina Vitali, Spokerperson of RA:

"Mr Speaker,
also Radical Alliance doesn't consider this reform really necessary. Since the time of the Semi-Presidential Reform but also in the previous years, we didn't recognized the multiple term as a threat for the democracy. And then, we cannot say that this is an issue very endemic, due to the fact that since the semi-presidential reform, just 8 presidents experienced more than 2 consecutive reelections.
Indeed, we think that if a leader is able to gain support for more than 2 term, we think that this means that that person was able to gain the confidence of the people.
And talking about the last terms, well... also if we are at the opposition, we have to recognize that the work of President Lepera has been appreciated, so much that it was able to gain a third term without any support by part of other parties.
For these reason we will probably abstain like ULD, waiting for the response of the other parties.

Thank you"

(OOC: then, we have to consider the fact that also if for months in Istalia were active parties well involved into the internal RP, which can make respect this provision, it can always happen that a party appears and didn't respect the RP Constitutional Law.
However, I have to inform myself about such a RP Law if it is enforceable. But due to the fact that to verify if a party respect the Law we have to wait after the elections, I don't know if the mods can really do something.
I will update you)

MessageOOC: so, it seems that such a RP Law can be enforced by the mods: http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4176&p=127152&hilit=term+limit#p127152

Can I furthermore suggest to Lionking to offer a description more... how say... more "institutional"? Like the one here: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=552599

In the end it's a Constitutional Law! :D
