Even though we feel that this proposal will not be supported, we feel as if it is an acceptable proposal that will help bring back some of our history. BILL SPECIFICS: If passed, the right to confer nobility would fall upon the Head of Government. The Head of Government would have the ability to make any person a noble. Nobility ranks: The nobility ranks are (From least to greatest): Knight (Sir/Lady): This person has shown service to Lourenne. They have the right to be recognized by the prefix of Sir or Lady. The title cannot be transferred to descendants. They do not sit in the Chamber of Lords. Earl (Lord/Lady): This person has shown a high amount of service to Lourenne. They are recognized as Lord or Lady. They gain a small peerage of a population area of less than 100,000, but have no political power over that area. Their title and peerage can pass to their descendants, if they wish. They sit in the Chamber of Lords for life. Count (Count/Countess): This person has shown substantial service to Lourenne. They are recognized as Count or Countess. They gain a peerage of in between 100,000 and 5 million people, but have no political power over that area. Their title and peerage can pass to their descendants, if they wish. They sit in the Chamber of Lords for life. Duke (Duke/Duchess): This person has shown exceptional service to Lourenne. They are recognized as Duke or Duchess. They gain a peerage of in between 5 million and 20 million people, but have political power over that area. Their title and peerage can pass on to their descendants, if they wish. They sit in the Chamber of Lords for life. Chamber of Lords The Chamber of Lords is a merely ceremonial body that members sit on for life. The Chamber elects a Constable of Lourenne to ceremoniously guard the Chamber and its occupants. |
