Bill: The Child Worker Protection Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Haaretz (הארץ)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 4352

Description[?]:

This bill corrects current laws which subject child* workers to the same standards as their adult counterparts.
There are certain basic activities that children cannot be expected to (or forced to) perform.
The main reason we did not outright abolish child labor is this: under 16 year olds should be allowed to get a job if they want to. Many successful entrepreneurs seek a part time job as a youth. This law simply protects those youths from exploitation.

*In accordance with Beiteynu law, a "child" is defined as a person under 16 years old.
