| (This bill was proposed by the minister of Justice Cristian Buccho) It is not the government place to tell to the population what they can or can't put inside their body. We already legalized marijuana so why shouldn't we allow all the other naturally occurring drugs? Even if we think that we should continu to ban all the really dangerous man-made drug, we believe that nuturally occuring drug should be legal because the are not significantly dangerous. |

| Message | Mr. Speaker, The idea that a drug is less harmful because it is "natural" is absurd. In fact, processing can make any substance substantially safer by controlling dosage and keeping fairly exact chemical compositions. In the "natural world", drugs can be found at varying dosages and what exactly is in them can vary. Of course society would be a lot better off if people didn't abuse drugs in the first place. Modern medicine has done wonders, it has allowed us to live far past "natural lifespans", and be free of many diseases.
