MessageI say no. especially to part 2. If we dont enfore any regulations than the business will take the most cost effective way of disposal. More then likely it will just be pumped into rivers killing wildlife and maybe swimmers and possible pollution of resevoirs.

What possible advantage can there be to not enforcing things?

MessageThis isn't an issue for the government to intervene, and it creates a larger bureaucracy to try and enforce such regulations that wouldn't be followed anyway.

MessageThe government has to intervene at some stage. Businesses left to do what they want will only lead to more problems. If we do not have some regulations thatour environment is in trouble, and then in a few years there will probably be the mad "We have to do something now" rush when it all starts to go wrong. You cannot rely on the good will of a business, some just arent like that.

It will have to be done. But its up to you as to how much damage is done before we do something.
