| In this descisive act the Deltarian government officially abolishes the Thaller monarchy in Deltaria. Clearly healthy debate and cooperation have not been working with the Czar and therefor we have to take this desperate measure. We propose a Semi-presidential system in which the president gets the important duty to oversee the parliament to make sure they do their job correctly. In an aim to create the most transparant and democratic system available we are also making the president responsible for the creation of a cabinet. A president should at all times be independent and should put the interest of the nation in front of the interest of a party. Article 1 -A president will at all times aim at creating a cabinet which has the support of all party's involved and represents the outcome of elections in the best possible way. Article 2 -A president should at all times be independent in thought and should put national interest above party interests. If a president refuses to commit him or herself in the creation of a workable, stable and representative government he or she can be deposed through a majority vote in parliament. We believe that the president. Which is directly chosen by the people every term. Would be excellent in creating a government since he or she is supported by the majority of the population at that point and could create a government for the people more easily then a biased political party. |
