Bill: Foreign aid
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kalistan National Front
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 4353
Description[?]:
Currently foreign aid is corrupt, inefficient and often goes to the wrong people and places so, instead of our current system we offer this idea: Article one: Instead of pouring money into underdeveloped nations and charities, this bill would authorise private companies, payed for by the government to be deployed to areas in need. These would do things like lay water pipes, build hospitals and schools. Unarmed troops may also be deployed to help companies and natives re develop and rebuild. Article two: Money from the foreign aid budget will be redirected from governments to charities and the military scheme suggested amounts. Article three: Governments can opt for the old foreign aid instead if they wish. But first they must prove if they are stable, have a good human rights record and are not corrupt. The government of a nation would also have to give a valid reason for wanting money instead of physical help. |

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
