Details

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 4354

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

The national sport have fluctuated over the years. However, a sport such as "football" is simply too generic and dull to represent our country's traditions.

I propose enshrining the ancient sport of Match crossbow as our national sport, to promote a healthy lifestyle with exercise. I am open to other suggestions.

MessageMr Speaker,

What is healthy about the crossbow? Unlike the longbow is requires no physical prowess. It would be like claiming pistol shooting or dart throwing were healthy sports.

A national sport should require some physical exertion, preferably requiring well honed expertise. A national sport should also be a team sport.

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.

Random quote: "In Germany they first came for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me--and by that time no one was left to speak up." - Pastor Martin Niemoller
