Message | Anna Lupa, Minister for Education and Culture, On this matter, I cannot speak for the whole government, but definitely for Istalia Per Valori, because showing explicit material in the potential presence of children, which are often unsupervised when watching TV, may be damaging to their mental health and it is our duty to protect those, which can not yet protect themselves from bad outside influences. Moreover, it is better to introduce such a limitation, than having the NHS covering increased cases of mental health issues later. |

Message | Your motivations aren't impartial, it surprises me, because your party showed great social coscience with its latest proposals. The government will never tell to the people what they can watch in their homes, but since the government owns part of the channels and everyone MUST follow the ethical stances of our society - children safety is one of the ethical basis - , a minimal control over explicit material is necessary. If people don't like our television, they can put on a movie. (Or a porn.) |
