Bill: Energy Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Christian Democratic Union

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2196

Description[?]:

This enables the energy industry to compete on an equal level witht the other industries in government. For historical evidence of price controls inefficieny, look no further than the 70s in Great Britain and America. When the controls were done away with in the 80s, prices dropped. I am a Classical Liberal, not a populist or a progressive, and I abhor the usurpation of the word liberal by socialists like FDR.

MessageThis will hurt the poor the most, as a social democrat, we do not suppose a Tory/Liberal bill such as this and will fight against massive deregulation and massive action to hurt the worse off in society

MessageI actually support regulation and deregulation of this specific industry. I believe that price controls can help and hurt, sometimes they actually make the product more expensive than it should be.
