Description[?]:

The Zailkhadé v. Trifluz case revealed a significant problem with the enforcement of religious legislation in the Federal Republic. Instead of the ban on religious hate-speech being used to promote religious harmony, several denominations have taken advantage of the law to exclusively penalize members of other religions. A uniform system of law is essential to guaranteeing legal equality and non-discrimination.

For that reason we move to amend the "Defamation of Religion Act" by making its provisions clear and universally binding. The text of the law shall be amended as follows:

"An act to protect all religious communities from intolerant speech, negative stereotyping, discrimination, and incitement to violence, by penalizing public expressions of hatred, hostility, or contempt against all religions, in order to promote a pluralist and tolerant environment where all citizens can live free from defamation regardless of religious belief. Those who deliberately and publicly express hostility, hatred, or contempt against any religion shall face either a fine of up to 5,000 BAR or up to three years in jail, depending on the severity of the offense. Adherents of no religion may be exempt from this act by any legal authority in Barmenistan".
