| The main reason for which the popular reform project of the Enlightenment Party was nearly brought to an end at the ballot box is the existence of powerful lobbying institutions and obscure and corrupt patronage networks, using the money they stole from the Barmenian people to donate to the campaigns of the Old Guard's candidates in exchange for their support for corrupt policies and interests. It is time we put an end to legal bribery, and all campaigns shall henceforth be publicly financed. |
