Bill: Withdrawal from the PLA and KNCC

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Conservative Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4363

Description[?]:

We have voiced our concerns with the PLA and allowing people to call themselves whatever they please and have the government recognize them as such.
The KNCC is and NUP era bill which establishes a cricket league between Kalistan and other foreign states, but Kalistan along with one other state are the only signatory states. This being the last remnant of the NUP era and their "accomplishments", we believe it is necessary to withdrawal from this treaty.

MessageWithdrawing from the PLA is just stupid and puts us at odds with most other nations. We support Article 1, but Article 2 just seems like backsliding for no good reason.

MessageI have given a good reason, but perhaps you haven't read the description of this bill. Don't call my actions stupid without knowing the purpose.

MessageOOC
I take that back, I just realized how vague the description is.

According to the PLA, our government is forced to recognize citizens as whatever gender they choose. This causes confusion and quite frankly is insulting to science as it discards the fact that genders can't be chosen by people and that they are instead decided through X and Y chromosomes.

MessageThe PLA treaty does not force the state to recognize citizens whatever gender they choose. That is blatantly false.
The treaty allows for the government to leave the decision up to local governments.
We don't see anything inherently wrong with local government freedom in moral issues.
Nor do we see anything wrong with recognizing those who decide to change their sex, as we believe it causes no greater direct harm than, for example incestuous relationships cause to children; a practice allowed under current legislation

MessageWe knew what you were referring to, we just think its stupid. The DWP is right. And also, don't talk about chromosomes and call it gender, that's sex. There's a difference, and we wish your party would do some research before coming out and destroying a landmark piece of legislation for no reason other than that transgender or gender queer individuals make you feel weird and that you don't like them.

MessageWe have, it's called reading a basic human biology textbook. It's stupid to say that sex and gender are different. And this bill doesn't do anything to transgender citizens, I have never mentioned transgender citizens in this bill, and I sure as fucking hell didn't say they make me feel weird.
The bill which I will propose in the future would simply end government acknowledgment of people calling themselves whatever gender they damn well please WITHOUT having the proper medical procedures.
And would you two please stop using strawman arguments against people? It's stupid and adds no discussion to the actual issue.

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.
