MessageIf the goal here is to help preserve an individual's right to choose their gender identity, we don't see why the DWP would want to send this decision down to local governments. We support all people regardless of gender at a federal level, and thus we can't support this.

MessageThe goal here is to give a greater autonomy to local governments. We do not see any great need for federal protection in this area as we believe rights can be effectively protected at the local level.

MessageIt is our party's belief that giving greater autonomy to local governments simple leads to discrepancies among regions and unfair enforcement. We won't tolerate these discrepancies when it comes to civil rights and a person's right to call themselves whatever the hell they want.
