Message | Dear Speaker There is a point when "Individual rights" is nothing but a codeword for anarchy and mass narcissism. You must remember that Dankuk is not a Western nation and so it's primary preference is for social harmony and selflessness. We will not support repeal of the Lese Majeste Law. Considering the law makes the Monarch an apolitical symbol of the nation-the lese majeste law must be in place to protect her person from slander(hence treason makes sense since attacking her is like bombing the Imperial Senate Building). If the lese majeste is not enforced-then the monarch must be an active political actor. If someone attacks an inherently apolitical indigenous figure they clearly are up to no good and are likely(unconsciously or unconsciously) supporters of cultural genocide. We can perhaps support making an amendment to a more modest sentence such as exile to Sekowo though. There are nothing but individual rights parties there(one being an organized crime syndicate). Message | Dear Speaker, Whilst we can agree with what you are saying, keeping the monarch out of political matters is more important to us and even if the monarch was involved in political matters the law would probably be passed at some stage We can also agree to adjusting it. We would encourage you to speak up so we can negotiate a fairer stance. Giles Wilkins Conservative Party Leader |

Message | In response to Wilkins, We do think the law should be more concerned with Helping others and preventing harm to others(for this reason we support exile instead of the death penalty on the law). though this "Fairness" rhetoric is strange....We do not have a concept of "fairness" thing and we don't want it here from what we've read of it: Fairness enables envy and jealousy...its a close cousin to the ideal of revenge which stands for "getting even with the enemy" and "It is not enough I succeed, everyone must fail for justice to be served." The idea of "Fairness" therefore-despites its protestations of benevolence is contrary to what one's moral aim should be "insuring happy and stable harmony between ourselves and others". Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
