Bill: Monarchist Reform Act of 4365

Details

Submitted by[?]: Council of Lords

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 4365

Description[?]:

For centuries the great nation of Likatonia has been a beacon of hope, and an example that when a single people unite they can achieve great things.

But now those days are long since passed, and now in its stead there is a corrupt and hollow mockery of what it could be.
One incompetent self-serving president after another, no man alive today can remember a president that actually cared for his people!
Instead we are caught in a never-ending tug of war between the shallow and the corrupt.

Anyone that deludes themselves to believe that a single president within the last century cared for the Likatonian people is a fool indeed.

As a nobleman, my fate and fortune is tied to the nation, whether I like it or not I have a genuine interest in the well-being of the Likatonia and her people.

We need cohesion. We need unity.
We need a good hosian monarch

Aemilius de BĂ©rain

MessageAny link with religion, the arbitrariness when it comes to choose the monarch, the lack of debate for such deep change, a thorough analysis of the pros and cons of the proposal; also complete independence of the government and the monarchy and complete limitation of the roles of the monarch to neutral representation and moderation seem like no-cross lines for us.
In short, what would need to change? The space-time continuum.

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.
