Message | Mr Speaker, This proposed new budget will increase the deficit. Currently government revenue is approximately 537.7 Billion HLR, and the current deficit is approximately 1.7 Billion HLR. With this new budget and the new taxation bill, revenue will only increase by about 2 Billion HLR, while expenses will increase by 11 billion, increasing the deficit to approximately 11 billion HLR. This is unsustainable Mr. Speaker. This party will never support a budget that puts a heavy burden of debt on future Hutorians. Pascale Rousseau Conservative Finance Critic MP for Anslem Centre |

Message | Mr Speaker, Can the Minister tell us how much increased revenue will come from the increase in the coporate tax, and how much of a deficit, or surplus, Hutori will have once all the changes are implemented? Pascale Rousseau Conservative Finance Critic MP for Anslem Centre |

Message | Mr Speaker, We we will not support this budget for two reason. First of all, since the ''The Fair Tax Act'' is about to fail this budget will not be adequately funded. So if this budget pass, we will have a annual 11 billions HLR in deficit which is unaceptable. Secondly, we completly disagree with the idea of cutting 10 billions HLR in the ministry of Defence. This cut will drastically hurt our ministry of Defence and can seriously compremise our hability to defend ourselves. We would recommend that if cuts have to be made, they should be made in different ministries instead of all in the same ministry, -Caitlin Clarke Mp and former minister of Finance |
