| Sahla Sabbagh, ULD Chairperson First of all, we want to thank the Communists, which we assume will vote in favour of this bill, for explaining us, in a way, why the power to form a government shouldn't rest in the hands of a single person. The undemocratic foundation of the current government is what bugs us.The President decided to form a government without consulting the biggest party in the parliament in any way, which is unprecedented and hasn't happened since I have been alive. Maybe because all my life, since I was eight, and except for this term, the President has been from the Liberal Democrats (OOC: which is actually true lol that's pretty sad tbh), a party values democracy. And what is democracy? The rule of the people. And what have the people ruled? That the ULD shall be the largest party in the parliament. And the president, who was democratically elected, should respect that, and at least contact the largest party. However, now we know that a single, unregulated individual may not be trusted, and as such we present this bill, after months of consultations with specialists. |

This way, the president can propose the cabinet. Seems like a case of parliamentary customs to me, just as the ULD wanted to have the biggest party initiate the cabinet negotiations. Thank you. |
