Bill: Moderate - Right Cabinet Proposal of August 4372

Details

Submitted by[?]: Whig Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 4373

Description[?]:

As the current serving Prime Minister I offer these nominations to the Peoples Assembly to form a cabinet and a coalition to work together united under President Barlow. Over the last few years I have presided as Prime Minister over the "Free Thinking Coalition", a coalition that was a logical response to radicals on both the left and the right. This coalition was initially begun under Prime Minister O'Keefe of the RRP, the coalition included all reasonable parties within the legislature.

I propose that the time of the 'Free-Thinking Coalition has now passed, the SDP and the CRL are but pawns of the DSPR, for two decades they kept President Vanderburg in office. The Union bosses and their cronies have remained comfortably ingrained in our government for to long, inflicting a long war of attrition against the free market.

I now ask the parties of the 'Realist Coalition' to stand with the Whigs as we did at the polls and let us form a government that will defend Free-market values and liberty in Rutania, a government that will not only defend but one that will work to reform government in a meaningful way.

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.
