Bill: Industries mutual defence act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Foward Liberal Party of Hutori

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4373

Description[?]:

Due to the little military threat to Hutori and a decline in military strength, it has become clear that a completely nationalised defence industry will become a block to military technical innovation that could save lives. Allowing private industry to not only innovate our own military but also export to our allies while at the same time creating employment opportunities will be more of a benefit to Hutori.

MessageMr Speaker,

To clarify, this motion would not only allow private industries to innovate by exporting to our allies. Nationalised defence industries are receiving less funding and we risk having an unprepared and generally more expensive military during peacetime. We can allow private industries to grow and develop so we can have a range of contracts ready in the event that Hutori comes under attack.

MessageFor anyone concerned by allowing private corporations to export arms, Article 2 therefore restricts Military exports to close Allies to prevent our own weapons from being used against us.
