Message | Mr Speaker, I recognise that the Kalistan United Party has no seats in this place and thank you for the opportunity to address this Citizens Bill. The KUP believes that the size of this place has become to large, adding additional expense and administrative burdens on the citizens of our great nation. Currently those entitled to vote at an election is 74,798,387. This equates to each member of this place looking after 99,731 voters We believe that reducing the number of members of this place to 600 will enable better use of our nations financial and administrative resources Each member will only have to look after approximately 25,000 additional voters for this change to occur The KUP stands for small government and I hope that the other parties in this place will support this reduction. Due to the nature of this being a Citizens Bill, I would ask that it be out directly to a vote. Thank you, Dan Nicholls President Kalistan United Party |

Message | Why wouldn't we want more citizen representation? And removing 150 MPs (democratically elected ones, may I remind you) won't cause any significant administrative changes. At most maybe a few thousand rubles out of the trillions we gain annually. It shouldn't be any surprise, therefore, that we solidly vote no. |
