| The rate at which technology advances is truly amazing. Advancements in all kinds of different fields are making life better for us all every year. They're also making life longer for us. Advancements in medical technology cause the average lifespan to rise every year. Not only are we living longer, but we're staying healthier for longer too. 60-year-olds today are quite possibly in better shape than their great-grandparents were when they were 40. Any retirement age can be quite arbitrary, and it'll always be hard to find the right age. However, my party believes, given the good shape that most 60-year-olds are in, that 60 isn't the right age. |
