Bill: Austere Budget proposal of October 4373

Details

Submitted by[?]: Whig Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 4374

Description[?]:

The Whig Party propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Commonwealth of Rutania.

In effort to shrink the monstrous size of the Commonwealth's bureaucracy we recommend nearly across the Board cuts to various ministries. Thus far the People's Assembly has failed to agree on what bureaucracy they would be willing to cut or reform, therefore we hope this People's Assembly will use the powers of the purse-strings to shrink our over-bloated government so that we can then move on to tackling comprehensive tax-reform.

-Prime Minister Carson Threadgood
