| If (and hopefully when) this is passed, this will exempt Kirlawa from the Global Role Play Accord (GRA) entirely. Please see another nation's parallel bill for more background information: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=563771 Actually, our situation has some surprising similarities to theirs. Several players in the past, about five OOC years ago or so, had sought to turn Kirlawa German, in an invasion totally against the wishes of the players already here. :( Very fortunately, there were enough true Kirlawan patriots to successfully fight off this travesty, and keep Kirlawa Kirlawan instead. There are FAR too many German nations in Particracy already -- Dundorf, Dorvik, Darnussia, partially Aloria, partially Mikuni-Hulstria, and with considerable influence elsewhere as well. There's only one Anglo-Celtic nation. But now, the game rules have been changed, and the new rules have automatically "opted in" all nations to something called the "Global Role Play Accord". This allows outsiders to interfere with and completely overrule the wishes of each nation's actual players. For example and glaringly, they can inflict disasters, wars, etc. on us. :( Completely without and against our consent. :( But fortunately we have a way to fight back. By passing this bill, please, we can "opt out" Kirlawa from their "Global Role Play Accord", and make sure that Kirlawa's future is in accordance with the wishes of Kirlawa's players, not of outsiders who might feel that it's fun to toy with us. From the other nation's bill above: "If the bill fails, then the Moderators will be allowed to change Hawu Mumenhes's culture, economy, military, and society in anyway they want." "OOC: 1. GRA rulings always have to be obeyed. The GRA is a game rule. Game rules are not changed based on player suggestion, they can only be changed by the moderators. Therefore, the only way to disregard a GRA ruling is to Opt-Out of the GRA. 2. The GRA does not guard against nations being overpowered. In fact, some of the players who support the GRA do so precisely because they want a random group of countries to overpower all other countries in the game. 3. The GRA does not stop contradictory RP. If Hawu Mumenhes does not Opt-Out of the GRA, we would be allowing the moderators to create a contradictory RP by turning Hawu Mumenhes into a German country. The only thing that stops contradictory RP is the Cultural Protocol. If we don't Opt-Out of the GRA, the moderators will be allowed to destroy our Cultural Protocol and replace it with a German Cultural Protocol." Please join me in keeping Kirlawa our nation, with its characteristics to be ours Kirlawa's players to determine; instead of allowing Kirlawa to be subjected to the whims of those who may just feel that messing up our nation might be fun for them (and of course not for us!)
