| The Grüne Liberale Partei propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Bundesrepublik Dorvik (Federal Republic of Dorvik). Mr.Speaker, Our Nation"s Expenditures currently exceed revenue by a massive 16,861,594,456 DDO,It is absolutely necessary that we need to take concrete steps to reduce the deficit as estimates predict a sharp rise in inflation if it is not tackled immediately.And Therefore I am Forced to Reintroduce the Tax on Essential Goods,Albeit only at 1% which will have a minimal burden on our citizens,But we also recognize the impact that it would have on our poorer citizens and that is why the Budget also includes provision to hike the Universal Basic Income and the Minimum Wage,Note that we already ensure a "Living Wage"for our Workers and it will be increased even further.This 1% Tax is expected to Bring In an excess 7 BN DDO in Revenue.This Tax on Essential Goods is only a Temporary Measure and it will be reversed at the earliest possible time The Proposal also intends to increase Taxes on Luxury Goods from 18 to 20% and this will generate an Additional 7 BN DDO in Revenue. Furthermore,The Budget also Proposes Cuts in Spending to Finance and Justice Department's by 1 BN DDO,Though the Cuts made to the Justice Department is unfortunate,We Hope that the Council understands the fact that it is done only with the Aim of Reducing our Debt and Considering the best interests of our Nation.Therefore sincerely request the State Council to Approve this Proposal.
