Message | Senators, This is ridiculous. How is requiring youth participation in the symbols of our Republic's liberties any more of a violation of freedom of speech than requiring them to learn math? If asking our children to give a few minutes of their precious time for a brief commemoration of the Republic's heroes and its values is oppressive, then the exact same thing could be said about forcing children to attend school against their wish almost every day of their young lives. If the PHS wants to be consistent they should also demand the abolition of education. Otherwise they show themselves as un-Republican opportunists. Benedictus Scribonius Senator |
