Description[?]:
Laelian Law on Workers' Councils Senators, Eight years ago the Senate approved an official policy of providing tax benefits to all businesses owned and run by their workers (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=563591). Since then worker-owned industries have flourished and many sectors of our economy are now under worker control. However, this has not come about without fierce opposition. Employer-run businesses have employed all tactics, legal or otherwise, to stifle the growth of workers' councils and to force them out of business. Aiming to correct this injustice, the Republican Party proposes the introduction of an additional 30% tax on all employer-run businesses. Coupled with our current policy of promoting workers' councils, this tax will eventually lead to full worker control over our entire economic system, erasing the distinction between capital and labor and between employer and employee, thus guaranteeing Republicanism in all spheres of life. Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current. |
