*Brief history*

Dankuk has a long history and is home to many nations. The first ethnicity to call Dankuk home are the Kyo(Korean) who founded several Kingdoms in the 7th century, the two most prominent were the Kingdoms of Pyeonghae and Gongmangdo. The rivalry between these two states would become legendary and continues to the present day in the Ryeo-Taeyang dispute as the two clans trace their ancestry to the Gongmangdo-Pyeonghae Conflict. In 756, through Treachery, King Baekgu of Gongmangdo would force the Pyeonghae State into Compliance with Gongmangdo dictates, though Sovereignty of Pyeonghae was never in dispute. For about 1000 years the State of Baekgu would dominate the peninsula until arrival of Egelion dominationists who, as an unwitting instrument of Divine Justice mirroring Baekgu's treachery, coerced the Baekgu State into vassalage in 1633. In 1721 the nation was annexed by Egelion and became known as Drania. The nation would remain as a colony until 22nd century. The Kyo would eventually re-establish their ancient sovereignty in 3608 though under Ryeo Dynasty, who ruled until 4077. A Confederationist government would take shape around 4145 and lasted until 4276 when a far-left Kyo government overthrew the Union. The period between 4276 and establishment of the Empire in 4297 had much infighting-particularly between Ryeo and Taeyang Clans. The current empire was established by Taeyang the Great who set about re-establishing the Ancient Harmony of the Kami, in which the nations live in prosperity and happiness.

The Draddwyr (Welsh) arrived some time after the Kyo, migrating from present-day Aloria through the Great Dovani Plain which they still dominate today. Traditionally discriminated against especially under Ryeo Dynasty, the Draddwyr have been subject to two genocides, in the 24'th and 37'th centuries, though today enjoying protection and freedom in Taeyangpum. Draddwyr culture though would encounter major catastrophe during Nazi Kazulian invasion of 4369-4375, but efforts are being made to preserve the culture.

The traditional centre of the nation(aside from Kyo) have otherwise been the Dranianos (Filipino) who are primarily a mix of Kyo and Egelian colonists who arrived in the 2'th millennia. Draniano may have some Draddwyr heritage as well. They are primarily bilingual, speaking Kyo and Egelian (Spanish).

Luthorian has been an official language in Dankuk for centuries and is understood by most Dankukin persons; in particular been the language of business for well over a millennia. Many famous politicians have had Luthorian names such as “Breckinridge” or “Woodhall”. Reflecting the innate friendliness of Dankuk to "the other", many individuals have names of western origin alongside their native names, such as "James Park", or "Henry Wu”. This friendliness however, has allowed them to be taken advantage of in pre-imperial times.

Among other minorities, we find Kazulians (Norweigans), Hulstrians (Austrians), and Kunihito(Japanese, the latter who fled tyranny in many countries during 44th century.

Dankuk has religious followers from religions originating from all over the world, however Hosianism and Daenism has historically competed for dominance. Many Draddwyr belong to their own form of Draddwyr Daenism which is closely related to mainstream Mazdâyanâ, although this tradition has followers of other ethnicities as well. Draddwyrs have also influenced the Hosian Church, with some aligning themselves with the Terran Patriarchal Church which is open to syncretic beliefs. Kyo Sindo religion has experienced a revival under the Taeyang Dynasty, who's Empresses claim descent from Sun Kami. Other minority religions exist, such as Seodongyo which has declined in recent years. One substantial minority is "unaffiliated", though these are mainly Westernists and persons who have trouble with the religion question.

*Character naming*

Characters should be named after the ethnic group they belong to or a mix of these. As Luthorian is one of countries the main languages, Dankuk persons may have partially or fully English names, but this should ideally not be the case with all Dankukin characters. Some more liberal-oriented Dankuk persons may have westernised Kyo names with a western naming order (such as “Sonja Lee” instead of “Li Sonja”) or names mixed origin (“Trystan Goméz-Kim”, etc.). Party names should be in English, but players would ideally familiarize themselves with the party names in at least the three main languages (Welsh, Spanish and Korean). Be mindful of name meanings as some characters can be read as a sentence(Kyo especially).

Country naming should be given special attention to as country name has political significance. Dranish and Dranland are of colonial origin. Dankuk is Kyo but translates to "Root Country" and is used to emphasize indigenous rights. Taeyangpum refers to Affectionate name of Dankuk under House of Taeyang-mothers of the nation.

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action.

Random quote: "The moral justification of capitalism does not lie in the altruist claim that it represents the best way to achieve 'the common good.' It is true that capitalism does, if that catch-phrase has any meaning, but this is merely a secondary consequence. The moral justification for capitalism lies in the fact that it is the only system consonant with man's rational nature, that it protects man's survival qua man, and that its ruling principle is justice." - Ayn Rand
