| Foreign investors are capable of influencing national companies through unregulated foreign investment. The National Democratic Party moves to restrict foreign access to our profitable companies, as the people of Beluzia deserve to have control of the stock market, uninfluenced by wealthy foreign interests. In addition, the Nations policy of allowing private interests to control our power supply will lead to corporate greed on a massive scale. We cannot put such an important resource in the hands of a few wealth seeking individuals, therefore, the National Democratic party moves to put all power stations under the democratic control of the public. These measures will, along with the first proposal, assert Beluzian authority over our own respurces. We can no longer allow foreign nations and private interests to influence our system and the democratic institutions that ensure our nations sovereignty. We hope that the Soviet will recognize the need for this action before the great people of Beluzia are further oppressed by distant interests. |
