We must ensure that the water people drink does not cause them to have easily preventable diseases. While local governments are able to do this, a single regulation may be better than multiple different regulations and it will help the private waterworks corporations to standardize without having to conform to multiple villages, towns, and cities' different regulations. |

Current: The government sets a range of standards dependant on water usage. (grey water regulation, etc.)

However, when it comes to more important things--- like water, the human lifeblood... or the ENVIRONMENT (hint hint...), then the national government needs a say. |
