MessageOOC: Just if you are wondering why this failed: the President is also the Head of Government, and therefore a member of the cabinet. For the cabinet proposal to pass, it is not enough that a majority of the parliament supports it, but *all* parties included in the proposed cabinet must do so. Because of the President's role as HoG, the party of the President is always included in the proposal, and therefore their approval is needed for any cabinet.

This proposal, despite having a majority, has failed because one of the parties included (AfL, with the position of Head of Government a.k.a President) has not voted "yes".

Actually, I reckon this is the only implication in terms of game mechanics that the figure of President and Presidential elections have in Particracy.
