Bill: Decrese time between elections Ammendment
Details
Submitted by[?]: Libertarian League
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2197
Description[?]:
This will decrease the time between elections. Since we do most of our bill proposals immediately after elections and then we sit on our thumbs for a few days, this would make things more interesting as governments can change more often. This will change the election cycle to 24 months. (Every 4 days, with almost 3 full days to propose bills) |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The length of a legislative and executive term, in months. Should be between 24 and 72.
Old value:: 36
Current: 60
Proposed: 24

Random quote: "The moral justification of capitalism does not lie in the altruist claim that it represents the best way to achieve 'the common good.' It is true that capitalism does, if that catch-phrase has any meaning, but this is merely a secondary consequence. The moral justification for capitalism lies in the fact that it is the only system consonant with man's rational nature, that it protects man's survival qua man, and that its ruling principle is justice." - Ayn Rand |
