Message | Mr. Speaker, Our party cannot support this bill. The proposal to play the national anthem at such timing is interesting however and we wouldn't be opposed to it on condition that the mandate be for state-run news networks and that private and independent news outlets have the option to opt out. However, the article being presented on making children sing the national anthem at school is something we will not support. We support awareness of how great a nation we live in and being grateful of such, but we are opposed to forced nationalism. Hazel Keson, NGPoL Chairwoman |

Message | Mr. Speaker, this bill can hardly be called forced Nationalism. Is this bill Nationalist? I might say it is. But I find it harsh to say that it would be forced. As Lodamese Nationalism is a way of life, and it is no longer the State religion, we can't say that we are forcing our citizens to be Nationalists. We just want them to develop a certain pride for the nation. Silke Devis Educational Representative for LNC |
