From | Fight For Your Right To Party | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of April 2197 | Message | Exactly what it says on the tin. Most change (i.e. higher taxes) enforced at high levels of income. This is proposed to fund the budget outlined in the other proposal the FFYRTP has made this month.

From | One Nation Conservative Party | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of April 2197 | Message | 40% and 50% tax? That seems a ludicrous amount of taxation, it will not only undermine the people's rights to their own money but stem growth as well. The ONCP will vote against this proposal. |
Date | 20:43:48, March 09, 2006 CET |
From | Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of April 2197 | Message | The Libertarian party sees no need to increase the amount of taxes. As to the budget, the Libertarian party will have to review Pontesi's finances. |

From | Fight For Your Right To Party | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of April 2197 | Message | We can still afford the proposed changes to the budget if we do, so that is not a problem. However, the more money the People give us, the more money we can spend on the People and still have some over. |

From | THEM | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of April 2197 | Message | 50% is still way too much regardless of what the government does with it. Income tax should never go above 40%. |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
