Message | STOP! Budget time! Boosts to Internal Affairs, Health and Social (huge boost here), Education and Culture, Science and Tech and Food and Agriculture. Slight boosts to Foreign affairs and Trade and Industry. Cutbacks in Finance, slight cutbacks in Justice. I propose to finance these increases with slightly increased taxes, strongly based on income (see the Taxation Proposal for more details.) - Thoth, Minister of Finance |
Date | 17:43:44, March 09, 2006 CET | From | Pontesi Fascist Coalition | To | Debating the Budget proposal of April 2197 |
Message | We see most of the hikes here as fairly pointless, except in Health and Social Services, hope that the FFYRTP would further increase spending in Justice and Defense. Overall, however, this budget is fairly palatable. |
Date | 19:07:41, March 09, 2006 CET | From | Georgeonian Centrist Party | To | Debating the Budget proposal of April 2197 |
Message | We would like to avoid cutbacks in spending on justice if possible. Everything else looks reasonable and can be covered by the current taxation structure. |
Date | 00:06:22, March 10, 2006 CET | From | Fight For Your Right To Party | To | Debating the Budget proposal of April 2197 |
Message | We believe that the People deserve the boosts to Health, Education, Science and Food given here. Depending on how people vote for this one, we may produce a revised budget proposal next year involving more spending on Justice (although Justice is not a particularly high priority for the FFYRTP). In answer to the PFC, the 88 billion already allocated to defence is surely enough to be getting on with... |
Date | 05:30:12, March 10, 2006 CET | From | Pontesi Fascist Coalition | To | Debating the Budget proposal of April 2197 |
Message | Oh no there's never enough going to defense. And besides, how is Pontesi to prosecute criminals without the necessary funding to pay DAs or conduct criminal investigations?!?! |
Date | 19:21:26, March 11, 2006 CET | From | Labour Party | To | Debating the Budget proposal of April 2197 |
Message | We back this budget. |
