Message | Mr Speaker, I believe all citizens in a time of war should be required to provide some form of assistance to our Armed Forces. We cannot have traitors back home who would not participate in the war effort, which in an extremely serious world war, might require every last man and woman. However that being said, I recognise that some may have personal reasons against participating in combatant roles. This bill will provide that option for our citizens, while ensuring the armed forces can utilise all manpower needed. Message | Mr. Speaker, Point of clarification - is it the National Reform Party's intent to include civil service roles as part of this bill? Do "non-combatanat" roles apply only to military non-combatant roles or will appointments in the foreign service or infrastructure and transportation ministry also be covered by this bill? Message | Mr Speaker, The purpose of his bill relates to military service and therefore we are including non-combatant roles within the military. However this would extend to positions within the foreign service and other ministries that in times of war, would fall within the definitions of "military operations". This could extend to working in factories producing ammunitions, working in security at embassies etc. Overall we wish to give people the option on how they serve their nation, however still requiring they give something back to the country in time of need. Message | Mr. Speaker, We will support this bill as long as conscientious objectors are able to serve their country in ways that are not directly within the military chain of command. It is not public service to which conscientious objectors object, it is military service. As the MP for Arana South has assured the me personally that placements in the foreign and other non-defence ministries are part of this bill, I have asked my compatriots in the New Liberal party to vote for it - as I will. Pavel Jucewicz MP for Aylesbury South Government Defence Minister |

Random fact: It is possible for a player to transfer ownership of a character or a royal house to another player. This should be done in a public way, such as on the Character Transfers thread, so that if a dispute arises in the future, Moderation can be pointed towards evidence of the transfer. |
