Bill: Our Democracy: Republic of Dorvik 4393

Details

Submitted by[?]: Dorvische Sozial Nationale Volkspartei

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4394

Description[?]:

In this bill we want to reestablish true democracy in Dorvik.
After the passing of this bill the nation will be renamed: Republik Dorvik (Republic of Dorvik)

The Republic will have a mix of a federal system combined with a unitary one. The central government shall wield considerable power but regions can still make their own laws if they wanted.

The Republic will have a elected president of the republic that shall wield some powers but is mostly a symbolic figure and the person that does meetings with international partners.

The Republic shall have a Chancellor of the Republic that will be the leader of government and shall wield most power on the federal level.

A new flag will be determined in a seperate bill since our party would like to discuss with others in reestablishing a old flag we used a long time ago.

We would also like to change the system of appointing a cabinet by giving the president the task to do so. The president should hold this power since he is independent and can be independent from party bias.
This will only be proposed later.

Let us restore the Republic!
